The Story So Far
A fresh young talent on the rise for success, Missy Lancaster is an up and coming country/pop singer from the town of Picton. The singer/songwriter has performing in pubs and clubs from the age of fifteen, in which she begged her mother for a guitar. Her country/pop style has shaped her into the similar sounds of The Mcclymonts and Taylor Swift. The nineteen-year old has performed in many venues across NSW including Sydney Olympic Park when she was sixteen, and WIN Entertainment Centre when she performed the National Anthem on Australia Day which was aired live on TV. Missy has trained with some of the finest professionals in the industry, when she was picked in Year 11 to undertake The ‘Talent Identification Program’ and was later picked as a soloist to perform at the ‘Directors Choice Awards’. Since finishing her HSC in 2012, Missy was accepted into the Australian Institute of Music to study a Bachelor of Music, but decided to study a degree in Primary Education at Wollongong Uni.
Missy regularly performs around the South Western Sydney area performing in pubs, clubs, private functions and weddings. Over the past two years, Missy has been fortunate enough to join Amber Lawrence on her ‘Superheroes’ album tour in Tamworth, Buddy Goode, Travis Collins and Peter McWhirter. Missy will be releasing her Debut EP ‘Til I figure it out’ and Debut single in January 2015. The EP will feature co-writes from award winning Drew Mcalister (Mcalister Kemp) and and Mike Carr (Buddy Goode). Missy’s dream is to persue her music career writing songs and performing to people, aswell as completing her teaching degree.
